Speeding up the progress of 7 large projects worth 100,000 billion VND, Bac Ninh requires a series of big names such as VinGroup, Taseco... to "run and line up, only discuss work, not discuss backing down"

Recently, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province held a conference to urge progress and implement investment and construction plans for 7 new urban area projects that have selected investors.

Accordingly, currently, the units have built detailed progress for each project; established tasks, detailed planning projects 1/500; established compensation councils for site clearance, surveyed, measured and mapped the site clearance area, made statistics on ownership...

At the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai requested agencies, units, localities and investors to urgently implement the work according to the plan with the motto "running while lining up", "only discussing work, not retreating", turning difficulties into challenges, into motivation. Determining the implementation of urban area projects in the province is a key task in the last 6 months of 2025.

The provincial leaders requested departments and branches to study and advise on the establishment of a provincial Steering Committee headed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; communes, wards, districts and cities to study and establish a Steering Committee at the same level to focus on the work, assign specific tasks to members, clearly defining "green lanes" and tasks to be implemented in parallel, with the determination to implement projects as soon as possible and as quickly as possible. The Steering Committee will review progress weekly and hold meetings every two weeks.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment directed to speed up the progress of map measurement to submit to specialized agencies for appraisal before June 10; provide cadastral maps to localities.

The Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and localities within the project boundary closely coordinate with investors, support and resolve in parallel the work of collecting public opinions, appraising tasks, planning projects, compensation for site clearance, land allocation, environmental impact assessment, etc. Heads of agencies, units, and localities must be responsible for the progress of implementation.

Investors must establish headquarters, arrange human resources with sufficient capacity and experience to implement the project, assign specific focal points to report and contact departments, branches and localities; select areas and divide them into phases for implementation in the direction of "easy to do first, difficult to do later".

Below are 7 new urban area projects that have selected investors:

The largest project is the Northwest New Urban Area of Bac Ninh City (Area 1) invested by a consortium of Vingroup. The urban area has an area of nearly 270 hectares located in Hoa Long Ward, Bac Ninh City. The total investment capital of the project is more than 41,270 billion VND. The remaining projects are smaller in scale and are concentrated in Bac Ninh City, Tu Son, and Tien Du District. The total investment capital of the 7 projects above is 104,961 billion VND.

Recently, large real estate enterprises such as Vingroup, Sun Group... have poured money here to invest in projects. Phu My Hung has also officially started the Hong Hac Eco-Urban Area project with an investment capital of 27,000 billion VND in mid-April 2025.

In addition, Bac Ninh is calling for businesses to invest in a series of large-scale urban area projects such as the New Urban Area project (Sub-area 112.1) in Lim town with a scale of 299 hectares, total investment capital of more than 19,700 billion VND; New urban and service area in Khac Niem ward, Van Duong ward and Dai Phuc ward, Bac Ninh city with investment capital of 13,599 billion VND; New urban area in Lien Bao commune, Hoan Son commune, Tien Du district with investment capital of 13,680 billion VND...

In parallel with the urban area project, Bac Ninh is also implementing Gia Binh International Airport, approved in the Master Plan for the development of the national airport and seaport system for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. The total estimated investment cost is about VND 29,765 billion.
