Updated instructions for domestic flight passengers from October 21 to November 30, 2021

Pursuant to Decision No. 1840/QD-BGTVT dated October 20, 2021, the Ministry of Transport issued temporary regulations on continuing to operate regular domestic passenger flights to ensure safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the COVID-19 epidemic. Accordingly, passengers need to meet the conditions for disease prevention when traveling by air, specifically:

1.1. Applicable subjects:

a) State management agencies, epidemic control forces, airlines, airports;
b) Organizations and individuals related to domestic passenger transport activities by air.

1.2. Conditions for participating in the flight:
- In case passengers reside or stay before the flight in an area with an epidemic at level 4 or regional medical isolation (blockade) or passengers on a flight departing from an area with an epidemic at level 4 or regional medical isolation (blockade) or passengers on a flight departing from Tan Son Nhat and Can Tho international airports: have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR method or rapid antigen test valid within 72 hours from the time of sample collection to before the flight departure time;

– In case of other passengers, one of the three following conditions must be met:
+ Persons with a certificate of having been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, in which the last dose was administered at least 14 days and no more than 12 months before the flight departure time;
+ Persons with a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 or a hospital discharge certificate no more than 6 months before the flight departure time;
+ Persons with a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR method or rapid antigen test valid within 72 hours from the time of sample collection to before the flight departure time.

1.3. Other conditions:
+ Passengers must make a medical declaration according to regulations, complete the commitment and submit it to the airline representative when checking in at the departure point according to the form issued with Regulation 1840/QD-BGTVT; 

+ Passengers are not allowed to take the flight if they have symptoms of cough, fever, difficulty breathing, muscle aches, sore throat, loss of taste...

+Declare information according to regulations of authorities.

 + Make a medical declaration according to regulations, complete the commitment and submit it to the airline representative when checking in at the departure point according to the Vietnamese and English form;

1.4. On the plane:
Passengers must always wear masks, disinfect their hands, and limit contact.

1.5. End of flight:
- During the journey from the airport to the place of residence or stay: always follow 5K, use the PC-COVID application, limit stops and do not contact crowded places;
- Proactively notify the local authorities of the place of residence or stay;
- Self-monitor health and follow specific regulations of each locality on COVID-19 prevention measures from the date of return to the locality; follow 5K;
- In case of abnormal health signs such as cough, fever, difficulty breathing, sore throat, loss of taste..., immediately notify the health authority for monitoring and implementing the disease handling process according to regulations.
