Award for Excellence – New Milestone of VINACS

On December 17-18, 2018, Vietnam Air Catering Services Joint Stock Company (VINACS) was honored to receive the title, gold cup and special award for the airline catering company that excellently implemented Halal and hygiene standards; the "Halal and Hygiene Excellence Award" for both factories at Noi Bai International Airport and Cam Ranh International Airport.

The “Halal and Hygiene Excellence Award” is a prestigious award given by the prestigious Malaysian Halal Training and Consulting Academy exclusively to airline catering companies worldwide that have excellently implemented the Halal and Hygiene standards. In its history, the Malaysian Halal Training and Consulting Academy has consulted, taught, and directly assessed nearly 300 catering companies in 100 countries worldwide, but this Organization has only awarded this award, gold cup and certificate to 07 catering companies including Qatar Airways – QACC, Qatar; Etihad Airlines – EASC, Abu Dhabi, UAE; Cosmo Airport Catering Services Co. Narita, Japan; Global Catering Services MIASCOR, Malina, Philippines and VINACS are among the 07 airline catering companies in the world to receive this honorable award.
To achieve this award and gold cup, in addition to investing in modern factory systems, equipment, and technological lines from the beginning, VINACS has always continuously invested in human resources by continuously adding a team of highly skilled managers and technical staff; continuously training and improving professional qualifications, general knowledge training, awareness of Halal meals and food hygiene and safety knowledge. Each VINACS officer and employee, in addition to being good at their profession, is always aware that thoroughly understanding the standards in general, Halal meal standards in particular, and voluntarily implementing the requirements of those standards is the core for the existence and development of VINACS and also of themselves. Thanks to the current factory system, all processes meet standards and strict compliance with continuous efforts, VINACS has successfully passed the inspections of Malaysia Airlines and made Malaysia Airlines become VINACS's Halal standard customer alongside Qatar Airways and Malindo Air; bringing the total number of VINACS's customers to 19 in 2018.

Mohammed Abdul Rafek Saleh, Director of Global Halal Development Program, Halal Training and Consulting Academy Malaysia said “This is the third time I have been taught Halal knowledge and tested the level of compliance with Halal standards at VINACS.
