Vinacs opens airline catering factory in Noi Bai

On March 24, Vietnam Air Catering Services Joint Stock Company (VINACS) officially opened and put into operation the first airline catering processing factory at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi. The factory was completed after nearly 9 months of urgent construction.

The ceremony was attended by representatives, local government leaders, leaders of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Northern Airports Authority and leaders of Noi Bai International Airport. In particular, the opening ceremony was also attended by representatives of more than 30 domestic and international airlines, along with representatives of banks, contractors, investors and press agencies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Duong Tien Nghia - General Director of VINACS - affirmed: The Aviation Catering Processing Factory Project at Noi Bai International Airport has completed all items according to the project's goals and progress, and is considered a modern aviation catering processing factory of regional scale.

Mr. Vo Huy Cuong – Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam – warmly congratulated the encouraging results that VINACS achieved when the Factory was put into operation in March 2017, and believed that VINACS would make a positive contribution to the comprehensive development of the aviation service sector in general and Noi Bai International Airport in particular. He hoped that with the presence of VINACS, the aviation services provided at Noi Bai International Airport would be increasingly expanded, improved and developed better.

In his reply speech, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VINACS, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai also expressed his sincere thanks to the guests and affirmed that he will gradually build VINACS stronger and stronger with the commitment made when providing services that are safe, accurate and effective.

VINACS's factory in Noi Bai is built on a total area of 7,528 m2 including 02 floors above ground and one basement, designed and consulted by leading Japanese and Singaporean engineers in the field of airline catering with the most modern production technology line in Europe. The factory is built to ensure that it meets the strict requirements of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the regulations of Vietnamese law on food hygiene and safety, aviation security and safety with full international certificates to ensure the highest standards of product quality and service. After being put into operation, the factory has a capacity of 10,000 meals/day, providing and meeting a variety of European, Asian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Muslim menus, religious meals, diet meals and vegetarian meals on airline flights.

According to information from the leaders of VINACS Company, after opening the airline catering factory at Noi Bai International Airport, the airline catering factory at Cam Ranh International Airport will be opened in April 2017, which are two of four VINACS branded catering factories at Vietnam's international airports, approved for construction by the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. The remaining two facilities are expected to be built at Da Nang International Airport and Phu Quoc International Airport in late 2017.
