TASECO joins hands to support people affected by storm No. 3 in Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces

A journey of faith and hope

In recent days, prolonged floods in the northern provinces have caused great damage to both human life and property. In order to promptly share and encourage people affected by floods and rains, to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives, Taseco has launched and carried out many meaningful volunteer activities towards the flood areas. Practical gifts and necessities have been delivered directly to people in localities affected by natural disasters.

During the 2-day trip on September 24-25, 2024, the Taseco Group's volunteer delegation visited Tan Huong commune, Yen Binh district, Yen Bai province and A Lu commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province. These are two locations with difficult traffic after the flood, many households' houses were completely collapsed, severely damaged, and rice and crop areas were significantly damaged.

On behalf of Taseco Group Joint Stock Company, member units and all Taseco employees, the working group presented cash and practical items such as: 180l water tank, aluminum pot set, blanket set, 10kg rice, flashlight, fish sauce. The cash support level for completely damaged households is 5,000,000 VND/household, damaged households is 3,000,000 VND/household. Notably, in A Lu commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province, the working group presented the Commune People's Committee with 2000m of water pipes and 100 tons of cement along with 150 sets of hoes and shovels to repair roads and water lines for households in the commune. The gifts all met the needs and wishes of the people to soon stabilize their lives, and were practical in overcoming the consequences after natural disasters. The total number of households in the two communes supported is 109 households with a total value of cash and gifts of nearly 675 million VND.

Taseco representative donated 100 tons of cement and 2000m of water pipes to A Lu commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province to repair the domestic water line, helping people travel more safely and conveniently.

Mr. Nguyen Tran Tung - General Director of Taseco Land shared that Taseco really hopes that these gifts will help reduce difficulties and quickly rebuild the lives of the people. This also demonstrates the spirit of "mutual love", the act of sharing social responsibility that Taseco has always promoted over the past years.

Along with business development, over the years, Taseco has always focused on social security activities in many provinces and cities across the country. In particular, social activities such as disaster relief and helping those in difficult circumstances have always been of interest to the company, aiming to bring a sustainable future and a happier life to the community.

Previously, on September 17, 2024, at the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Taseco Group Joint Stock Company and its member units along with all employees of the Group donated 3.5 billion VND to support people in the Northern provinces to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, helping people in flood-hit areas stabilize their lives after the natural disaster.

In addition, due to the impact of storm No. 3, many families of the Group's employees were also severely affected. In order to encourage employees to quickly overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and return to work, Taseco's Charity Fund has presented meaningful gifts to support union members and employees affected by storms and floods.

During the nearly 20-year development journey, regardless of the favorable or difficult times, Taseco has always turned to the community, actively contributed to society, expanded charity programs with the spirit of sharing and supporting the less fortunate. These actions have contributed to motivating them to overcome difficulties and challenges in life as well as spreading the good value of the action of "giving is forever".
